Guide Movies Shows Shows Video Star Club
In season one, Wayne, Dahlia and their three children broke all ties from their community when an unfortunate auto accident provided them the opportunity to assume the identity of a deceased, wealthy and “normal” family. Seduced by the idea of a bigger life as “H. Douglas and Cherien Rich” and armed with the keys to a new house in a posh neighbourhood, the Malloys soon found suburban life more twisted and challenging that any of their previous stings.

After moving his family into the home of the Riches within the wealthy community of Eden Falls, Wayne conned his way into a job as a lawyer at prominent land-developing company Panco. Wayne’s belief that his family can survive in this normal world was challenged as Dahlia’s menacing cousin and fellow Traveller Dale (Todd Stashwick) discovered their con and wants in on their new life.

To make matters worse, Pete - the longtime friend of the real but now deceased Doug Rich - arrived at Eden Falls looking for his best friend - only to find the Malloys living in Doug’s house. After they failed to rid themselves of Pete, Wayne and Dahlia decided to leave town completely in order to stay one step ahead of the truth.

As season two begins, Wayne sends the family - along with neighbour Nina (Margo Martindale) - on the road, with the hopes of joining them after he makes sure that Pete poses no real threat in revealing the Malloy’s true identity. Circumstances turn dire as Dale gets involved and Wayne’s drunken boss Hugh (Gregg Henry) shows up looking for support following a nasty fight with his wife.

Dahlia quickly realises that life on the road searching for the next con doesn’t offer the same fulfillment it once did. After living as Cherien Rich, she knows that there is more in life than just survival. And while oldest son Cael (Noel Fisher) embraces life on the road, both daughter Di Di (Shannon Woodward) and youngest son Sam (Aidan Mitchell) long for the normalcy they experienced while living in Eden Falls.

Wayne, too, has tasted the appealing fruits of a normal life. A potential $150 million land developing deal that Hugh brings to Wayne (with a $13 million payoff for Wayne) only adds to this appeal, as this lucrative payday would allow the Malloys to stop running forever. These higher financial stakes bring larger obstacles as Wayne struggles to keep Dale in check and maintain a safe distance from a new adversary - another Traveller, Quinn (Jared Harris). His never-ending task of hiding his family members’ true identities proves to be an all-encompassing and exhausting mission, as the Malloys continue on their quest of stealing the American Dream.
