Synopsis Wyatt Earp and his brother arrive in Deadwood and though they maintain they intend to work on a timber lease won in a card game, with some questioning the brothers' actual motives. Langrishe grants Chesterton a curtain call, and offers to perform long-term therapy on Hearst's chronic aching back and Fields' departure is delayed by an injury to Steve the Drunk at the livery.
In the highly anticipated third season of this Emmy Award-winning drama, the muddy outlaw camp of Deadwood marches slowly toward civilisation, but the power struggles show no sign of letting up. Battles over money, land, influence and whores continue as the founding fathers form strategic and invariably bloody alliances to face the threat of the powerful newcomer, George Hearst, seeking to remake Deadwood in his own image.
Created and executive produced by David Milch (NYPD Blue), this groundbreaking drama was nominated for 22 Emmys, won seven, and earned a Golden Globe (for star Ian McShane) in its first season. With the return of cast regulars Timothy Olyphant as Sheriff Seth Bullock, McShane as town boss Al Swearengen and Molly Parker as Alma Garret, and with the introduction of Gerald McRaney as a power-hungry George Hearst, Deadwood continues to be one of the most acclaimed dramas on television.
