Synopsis
A bus loaded with people from the Hill crashes while returning from a Patriots game and the accident is caused by a suicide jumper leaping from a highway overpass who is Freddie Cork's oldest son Ricky. Freddie enlists Tommy in his effort to get Ricky a proper Catholic funeral, whilst Michael discovers that Ricky was in the closet so he uses this information to manipulate Freddie, who in a rage kills Ricky's gay lover. Among the dead is Carl Hobbs, Eileen's erstwhile lover, and Leanne Trio, Marty Trio's wife.

Jason Isaacs and Jason Clarke star as Michael and Tommy Caffee, two brothers on opposite sides of the law, determined to protect the neighbourhood and what is theirs by whatever means necessary. It is a story of rivalry and revenge, of loyalty and allegiance and ultimately of family and commitment. Also starring Annabeth Gish and Fionnula Flanagan, this is one of the most anticipated series to come to Australian television.
