Synopsis
Meet the Donnelly brothers: Tommy, the smart one ( Jonathan Tucker); Jimmy, the hot-headed one (Thomas Guiry); Kevin, the unlucky one (Billy Lush); and Sean the pretty one (Michael Stahl-David). There is nothing these four Irish brothers wouldn't do to protect each other; "Family first" is their motto.

Set in New York, this gritty, yet occasionally humorous series bears witness to the Donnelly brothers' sudden involvement in organised crime, focusing on how they go from boys to mobsters, and showing how their new life affects their relationships with friends, family, and lovers.

Created by Academy Award winners Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco (Crash), support cast includes Kirk Acevedo, Olivia Wilde, Keith Nobbs, Molly Schaffer and Peter Green.

Soundtrack includes Imogen Heap and Snow Patrol.

Keith Nobbs and Thomas Guiry appeared together in an episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The episode, "The Good"; the original drafts of The Black Donnellys were titled "The Truth According to Joey Ice Cream"; The Black Donnellys is loosely based on Co-Creator Bobby Moresco's childhood in Hell's Kitchen, New York.
