Synopsis
Ridley Scott directs Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins in his return as Hannibal the Cannibal on the loose in Italy, where he is being stalked by both a shady detective and a frightening figure from the past (Gary Oldham). Hannibal summons now disgraced FBI agent Clarice Starling to the cause, in a role Evolution's Julianne Moore makes her own.

TRIVIA:
When Jodie Foster declined to reprise the role of Clarice Starling, Gillian Anderson was up for it, but fell out of the running when it was discovered her contract to The X-Files prohibited her from playing another FBI agent; Mason's mansion is actually the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina; Krendler's lake house with the boat dock is the same house used in the What About Bob? (1991); the music during the opening credits is "Aria da Capo", from Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations.
