Synopsis The Oscar-winning Mel Brooks stars in his own comic masterpiece as psychiatrist Richard H. Thorndyke, who fears he may be the victim of a murder plot in this hilarious homage to Alfred Hitchcock.
Thorndyke is extremely paranoid with high anxiety (fear of heights), which makes for fun and games when he goes on the hunt for a mysterious blonde's (Madeline Khan) father.
Brooks is supported by the usual suspects in Cloris Leachman, Harvey Korman and Ron Carey.
TRIVIA: This tribute to Alfred Hitchcock contains references to more than 10 of his films; the bird droppings were actually mayonnaise and chopped spinach; the appearance of Albert Whitlock as Arthur Brisbane is yet another of the film's many homages to Alfred Hitchcock, Whitlock was Hitchcock's special-effects man on several films; Hitchcock sent a congratulatory case of wine to Brooks after having a private preview of the film.
