Synopsis In this hilarious comedy, Texas townsfolk mistake two escaped convicts for gay lovers and beauty pageant professionals, hired to transform its dishevelled little girls into candidates for the upcoming Little Miss Squeezed pageant.
Jeremy Northam and Steve Zahn are the fugitives who think they've found the perfect hideout, and while one sets about putting together a real-life pageant, the other romances the lovelorn locals.
Support cast includes William H. Macy in a star turn as the town sheriff, Illeana Douglas, Ally Walker and Ron Perlman.
TRIVIA: William H. Macy's character has a discussion on the phone where he complains he cannot read a smudgy fax, and the message should be mailed, not faxed. This is exactly like a conversation his character has in Fargo (1996).
