Starring John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Olympia Dukakis
Director Amy Heckerling
Year 1989
Genre Comedy
Synopsis The charming and very funny story of Mikey, a cheeky little baby whose thoughts we can hear via the voice of Bruce Willis.
The first feature film to literally voice the concerns of a baby, this is a heartfelt contemporary comedy starring Kirstie Alley as Molly, a single working mother in her mid 30s who sets out to find a proper father for her child. Baby Mikey is determined to make his opinion on the subject known through his actions. John Travolta stars as James, an engaging cab driver turned baby sitter who has all the right qualifications as far as Mikey's concerned - he knows how to dance and how to fly a plane and how to make Mommy laugh.
TRIVIA: Amy Heckerling was inspired to write the film after her husband at the time, writer Neal Israel started playfully talking in a different voice to pretend what their new baby would say.
