Synopsis
Based on true events from a novel by Judith Rossner and directed by Oscar winner Richard Brooks, Oscar winner Diane Keaton is riveting as a repressed schoolteacher who becomes a sexual deviant and bar-hopper by night.

Dabbling in drugs and unstable men as she cruises the singles bars of New York looking for excitement, sexual and personal fulfilment, she finds something very different. A sexual partner (Richard Gere) turns jealous and possessive, and begins to threaten her life. Ultimately, her sexual addiction and high risk behaviour put her life in danger.
