Synopsis
In this third instalment of the horror series Tobin Bell stars as the cruel Jigsaw, the puppet-master behind the intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police, who has once again eluded capture and vanished together with his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith). Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) and Jeff (Angus Macfadyen), unaware that they are about to become the latest pawns on this vicious chessboard, are kidnapped and Lynn must keep Jigsaw alive for as long as it takes Jeff to complete one of his own games. Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that Jigsaw and Amanda have a much bigger plan for both of them. Support cast includes Donnie Wahlberg, Dina Meyer and Costas Mandylor. Trivia: the first Saw movie to include nudity; final shooting draft of the script was written in under a week by Leigh Whannell based on an idea by creator and Saw (2004) director James Wan; 1000 special posters were made and sold in support of Saw III and the American Red Cross.
