Synopsis
Golden Globe winner Bruce Willis stars in this action-packed crime thriller as Jack Mosley, an aging, burnt-out detective assigned the unenviable task of escorting a young, fast-talking convict, Eddie Bunker (Mos Def at his best), from jail to the courthouse 16 blocks away - and the entire NYPD wants him dead.

Mosley must choose between loyalty to his colleagues and protecting the witness - never has such a short distance seemed so long.

Excellent support comes from David Morse (The Green Mile) as Jack's nemesis.

TRIVIA: immediately following the bus tire being shot out a Wilhelm Scream can be heard; the gun used by all the cops was the Glock 19 which is chambered in 9 mm; Mos Def's character has the name "Edward Bunker". Edward Bunker is a real life criminal turned actor who appeared in Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.
