Synopsis
Wayne Wang (The Joy Luck Club) directs Oscar-nominee Queen Latifah in this rollicking comedy of misadventures as a shy New Orleans cookware sales assistant Georgia Byrd, who is led to believe she has less than a month to live.

Georgia decides to jet off to live like there's no tomorrow shaking up a glamorous European resort spa while enthusiastically embracing a new look, new moves and a new attitude and comes to the attention of the chef and the hotel's powerful American guests: a Congressman, a Senator, a retail magnate, and his mistress. LL Cool J is the handsome suitor back home who's not about to let Georgia slip away.

Timothy Hutton, Gerard Depardieu, Alicia Witt and Giancarlo Esposito also star.

Trivia: a remake of a 1950 film starring Alec Guinness; the dishes served were prepared by Food Network chefs who travelled with the crew to do the cooking; all recipes are posted on the Food Network website; when LL Cool J is served Duck Hash, the duck was substituted as LL Cool J doesn't eat it.
