Synopsis
Set in the connected worlds of politicians and mob bosses in a Rhode Island neighbourhood, the Brotherhood defines how grey the line between good and evil can be.

Jason Isaacs and Jason Clarke star as Michael and Tommy Caffee, two brothers on opposite sides of the law, determined to protect the neighbourhood and what is theirs by whatever means necessary. It is a story of rivalry and revenge, of loyalty and allegiance and ultimately of family and commitment.

Also starring Annabeth Gish and Fionnula Flanagan, and with the pilot directed by Phillip Noyce, this is one of the most anticipated series to come to Australian television.

The series was inspired by real-life Irish American brothers from the Irish neighbourhood of South Boston: James "Whitey" Bulger, Jr., a gangster who has been on the FBI's Most Wanted List for 10 years as a fugitive from justice, and Senator William Bulger (known as "Billy"), a powerful state politician who was President of the Massachusetts Senate and later president of the University of Massachusetts higher educational system.
