Synopsis
Brenda Blethyn and Peter Mullan star in this comedy drama about a middle-aged man, grieving over a tragic loss from the past. Frank has spent most of his 55 years working the same job in the shipyards of Glasgow, but upon being fired he is determined to gain his self respect and, much to the amusement of Frank's family and mates, he decides to swim the English Channel. As he begins training to make the journey his preparations give him a drive and a sense of purpose he has never had before.

TRIVIA:
The toy that Rob (Jamie Sives) takes away from his son at school is Thunderbird 2, based on the television series "Thunderbirds". Ron Cook (Norman) played Parker in the theatrical remake of Thunderbirds.

Support cast includes Sean McGinley, Jodhi May, Billy Boyd and Benedict Wong.
