Synopsis
Golden Globe nominee Richard Gere stars as a $1000 per night male escort in Paul Schrader's (Taxi Driver screenwriter) glossy swipe at 1980s materialism, but his routine begins to unravel when supermodel Lauren Hutton gets under his skin and he is framed for the nasty murder of a socialite.

Support cast includes Hector Elizondo and Nina Van Pallandt.

TRIVIA:
Julie Christie originally was to play the role of the politician's wife when Richard Gere was attached to the project, but she backed out when Gere was replaced by John Travolta. Travolta later dropped out as Schrader would not give him final cut, and Gere was hired for the film, but Christie was not offered the role that was eventually played by Lauren Hutton.
