Five friends enjoy a few days of celebratory carousing, forgetting all adult responsibilities shortly before the big day, to give Paulie a proper send-off. Over the course of a weekend, the guys knock back a lot of beer, play a little softball, swat some golf balls, head out fishing and share their thoughts, with each man having some unresolved baggage to deal with.
Support cast includes Matthew Lillard, Jay Mohr and John Leguizamo.
The soundtrack includes Joe Walsh, Dave Edmunds, The Motels, The Pretenders, Men At Work, Robert Cray and John Leguizamo also performs a number of tunes.
TRIVIA: In the last bar scene with Ed Burns and Mathew Lillard, Burns is wearing a t-shirt saying 'Up & Down Club', which is the Jazz club his wife Christy Turlington owned; John Mahoney played Edward Burns's father, but all of his scenes were cut. He can be glimpsed on the left during the wedding scene.
